Beans provide us with folate, antioxidants, and magnesium. A cup of beans will give you 7 grams of protein. Try black lentils, green lentils, split peas, navy beans, black beans and kidney beans. Have you head of edamames? 1 ounce of edamames gives you 3 grams of protein. Look for them in the frozen section of your grocery store or freeze dried for a great crunchy snack.
